The Farmers Market kicks off every July durring the Sweet Corn Festival.
The Market runs every Sat through the end of October ( weather permitting) from 8 am - 12 pm.

Farmers Market Policies
2009
1. The Mt. Gilead Merchant’s Association reserves the right to refuse participation to vendors who do not
comply with market rules and regulations or do not meet market standards which include, but are not limited to,
following all local, city, state, and federal laws and regulations. Any vendor who the Mt. Gilead Merchant’s
Association feels is not complying with the market rules may be asked to leave.
2. The Market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Please do not sell products before or after
this time! It is unfair to other vendors and customers if you sell outside the advertised time. Price, terms
of sale, etc. are between buyer and seller only. Any required sales tax collection and remittances are the
sole responsibility of the sellers. All sellers agree to abide by fair business practices.
3. Seller assumes full liability for the products they market or sell and hereby agrees to not hold the
Mt. Gilead Merchant’s Association liable for any claim of injury or damage of any buyer, seller, or other
persons resulting from the use, consumption, disposition, display, or marketing of seller’s products.
4. You may set up on any public space including the grassy areas and public parking lots. You may not
set up spaces in front of any merchant’s store front. You may bring a self standing tent and/or tables.
5. Seller is responsible for cleaning their space before leaving and cleaning up after their animals
(for horse & buggy vendors).
6. The Mt. Gilead Merchant’s Association is not liable for any injury, theft, or damage to either the
buyer or seller, or their property, arising from or pertaining to preparation for or participation in the
Sweet Corn Festival Farmers’ Market. Regardless of whether such injury, theft, or damage occurred prior,
during or after the Farmers’ Market. Market seller further agrees to indemnify and hold the Chamber harmless
for and against any claims for such injury, theft, or damage.
